Toast to Coast, our annual employee recognition show, is our opportunity to recognize Coast Capital’s super star staff for their outstanding achievements. Getting nominated for an Annual High-five Award is a big deal – and winning one of these awards at Toast to Coast is an even bigger deal. We also use this opportunity to thank our loyal employees who have reached milestone anniversaries.
Annual High-five Awards
We take employee recognition pretty seriously around here. During the year, our employees recognize each other through our internal High-five Hub with Instant High-fives, a quick way to say “thanks” for their peers’ hard work. Annual High-five Awards take this a step further. We encourage staff to keep tabs on all the great work their coworkers are doing throughout the year and nominate them for an Annual High-five award each spring.
Why leave it up to employees to nominate their coworkers? Kirstina from our Rewards and Recognition team explained it. “Our employees know each other best. They see each other every day and understand their unique role in the company. It’s through this that we are able to find and recognize our superstar employees,” she explains. “Plus, while it’s great to be recognized by your employer, having a coworker nominate you really brings it to the next level,” she continued.
We take our business seriously. Ourselves, not so much.
We’ve said it before and we’ve said it again. When we say business we mean business. But we know how to have a little fun, too. Whether it’s putting on a little carpool karaoke with our executives, playing games on stage or putting together an all-employee compilation video to our version of Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off,” employees know they can always expect some kind of wacky fun to go down each year.
