Coast Capital Charity Golf Tournament

Coast Capital Savings Charity Golf Tournament

The 2017 Coast Capital Charity Golf Tournament was on September 12. Through the help of our sponsors and golfers, we’re helping to fund essential research for the diagnosis and treatment of depression in children and youth. It’s one way we’re living our commitment to helping youth build healthy minds as part of our Youth Get It community investment strategy.

The Facts

  • In BC, over 140,000 children and youth experience mental disorders.
  • These disorders cause significant stress.
  • They negatively impact the lives of children and youth at home, at school, with their peers, and in their communities.
  • Despite all of this, mental illness continues to be stigmatized.

The Coast Capital Charity Golf Tournament

The annual Coast Capital Charity Golf Tournament first teed off 16 years ago to help bring people and businesses together to raise funds for the VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation. The money raised goes to help fund depression research. It’s something we’re all very passionate about here at Coast Capital.

In 2017, we raised $256,000, bringing the total amount donated since inception to $2.5 million. And we couldn’t have done it without the help of our amazing sponsors and golfers.

At the Tournament

We’re raising money for an important cause, and we always have fun while we do it. Great food, laughs, and lots of games are always a must. After all, we do say we take our business seriously but ourselves not so much.

Our sincerest thanks.

Thank you to all of our sponsors and golfers who participated in the 2017 Coast Capital Charity Golf Tournament. Thanks to you, we’re making a difference in the lives of children and youth living with depression.
